2025 was my version of a āmicroāretirementā year of continuing ed. A deliberate pause from the traditional career arc to reset, consult, build skills, and reādesign next steps. What should the next decade of work look like?
Ironically, microāretirement is more than time off. Itās a structured career break to recharge, experiment, and learn. Increasingly, extended periods away when possible are happening among professionals who want sustainability, not burnout.
In my case that looked like:
- Oh, that AI marketplace! Tracking the investment $ and platform economy of offerings never disappoints.
- Deepening my analytics and BI stack, including custom project management information systems that cut planning cycles from weeks to days. āMy Resumeā
- Consulting on CX, market research, and content strategy for organizations navigating digital transformation.ā
- Reācommitting to storytelling as a lever for better decisionsāfrom executive dashboards to proposal graphics and blog content. My LinkedInā
If youāre leading a team that needs a 2026 reboot? Better planning, sharper reporting, and clear stories around your dataāIām open to both fullātime roles and strategic engagements.ā
